Bare Self's Wellness Wednesday with Lorna Jane
Lorna Jane has introduced Bare Self to their Wellness Wednesday. This is a new concept we absolutely adore; a day to nourish, move or improve in some way. A day of the week where we set aside some time to be conscious and give back to ourselves, a form of self-love and self-care (which you know how passionate Bare Self is about self-love and self-care).

Self care is to Nourish, and for this Wellness Wednesday the Lorna Jane team tastefully indulge with our Her Chocolate. Exercise and movement can look different for everyone because as women we are all different and that is okay. For many people, a typical gym setting can be quite intimidating but when you find an exercise you love, the benefits are well beyond just physical.
There are endless statistics on why moving your body is an essential part of the life we live. Not only are there obvious physical benefits to movement but your brain's feel-good neurotransmitters, called endorphins, are released during exercise, while also boosting dopamine and serotonin. So it can truly also benefit in sustainable happiness and improve mental health.
Underneath are some examples of moving my body that I personally love (again different for everyone) and take from this what resonates:
Dancing- Dancing can be so much fun and never ceases to improve my mood. Dancing can be done alone or with others, providing a sense of community and connection, and is a great way to express oneself creatively while getting a good workout at the same time.
Walking- Walking for me is a form of meditation, a very calming activity. Walking allows one to slow down, be present in the moment, and connect with nature, which can help to reduce stress and anxiety. Walking also provides a low-impact form of exercise that can improve cardiovascular health and boost overall well-being.
Swimming- Swimming is a great form of exercise that provides a sense of freedom and weightlessness for me. When you're swimming, the body is supported by water, reducing stress on the joints. The feeling of being weightless in the water feels so liberating and any tension in my body feels relieved. After any swim, whether in the pool/ocean/ lake/ creek, there's a strong sense of relaxation and rejuvenation, within.
When I'm in my Lorna Jane activewear while practicing any of the above activities I feel it enhances the exercise experience. Because of their high quality designs I feel supported, comfortable, stylish, and confident. Which is one heck of a motivator to get out the door and enjoy moving my body.
